- Any app preferences (such as Dark Mode settings) and your specific user status (such as "Early User" flags) are stored securely and locally on your device using an encrypted database.

2. Hardware & Display Control
- To provide its core functionality, the app temporarily adjusts your device's screen brightness to its maximum level and prevents the device from sleeping during an active repair cycle. 
- These actions are performed entirely locally using standard Android system tools. 
- We do not track, record, or transmit when, how long, or how often you use the repair or diagnostic cycles.

3. Permissions
The app is built to prioritize your privacy and requests absolutely zero dangerous permissions:
- It does not require or request access to your camera, microphone, contacts, location, or personal files.
- It does not require an active internet connection to perform its display diagnostic and repair functions.

4. Third-Party Services
- This version of the app does not use third-party analytics, tracking, advertising, or profiling services.
- No personal data is shared with or sold to third parties.

5. Security
- We employ local, industry-standard database encryption (SQLCipher) to protect the user flags and settings stored locally on your device, preventing unauthorized access to your app data.

6. Children's Privacy
- Dead Pixel Fixer PI does not knowingly collect personal data from children.
